Utility Payment Options


By Telephone or PC Banking
Available through most financial institutions.

  • By Pre-Authorized Utility Payment Plan 
    Complete and submit the signed form with a VOID cheque to the Utilities Department at City Hall 
  • In Person
    Payment at City Hall
    Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    or most chartered banks and financial institutions in Canada and through automated banking machines.
  • By Mail
    Detach payment portion and send with your payment to:

                    5 St. Anne Street
                    St. Albert, AB  T8N 3Z9

(Please allow sufficient time for your payment to reach our office before the payment Due Date.)

Late Payment Penalty Payment is due and payable on the Billing Date. Payment not made within 21 days of the Billing Date will be subject to a late payment penalty of 2.5%. Failure to receive or loss of a bill will not be accepted as a reason for either non-payment or exemption from late payment penalty.  Dishonored cheques are subject to an additional service charge.

Overdue Accounts / Payment Arrangements
Please call 780-459-1520 to make arrangements for payment of overdue accounts and avoid disconnection of service. 

Disconnection for Non-Payment
If services are disconnected for non-payment of arrears the account must be brought into good standing.  A fee will be charged once the service has been scheduled for disconnection. 

Meter Readings
Meters are read and you are billed once every two months. If we are unable to read your meter for any reason you will be asked to read your meter and phone in the reading. Please call 780-459-1586 and leave your address and meter reading on our recording system. If a reading is not received your consumption will be estimated.
