The Opportunity:

| The Transit Department of the City of St. Albert requires an individual to plan and manage day-to day transit operations including conventional transit schedules and Handi-bus operation. This will involve collecting and analyzing data on the performance and utilization of the public transit system and making recommendations for alternative service delivery options. |
Qualifications:
|
| The successful candidate should have post-secondary education in engineering or transportation technology, business administration, or environmental science, as well as a C.E.T. designation. Experience in a public transit environment and knowledge of operations, bus scheduling, research and analysis are definite assets. Candidates should have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (primarily Excel). Experience with GIS Mapping and Transit scheduling programs would also be an asset. Qualified applicants must have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to quality customer service. |
Salary Range:
|
$60,229 - $73,275 per annum (2009 rate is under review). In addition there is a generous and comprehensive benefit package including a pension plan.
