Tax Payment Information

The City of St. Albert strives to provide accurate and equitable assessments that are used for collecting taxes. The Assessment Department calculates the assessment according to provincial legislation and guidelines.

You can now view property assessments, trace levy and legal property descriptions as well as locate these properties on a map by visiting Property Search. Tax notices are mailed in May and must be paid prior to June 30 to avoid late payment penalties.

Ways To Pay Your Taxes

After business hours, weekends or holidays you can drop off your payment through the mail slot located on the right hand side of the front doors of St. Albert Place.

Please include your tax bill remittance portion with your payment when paying in person or by mail. Make cheques payable to City of St. Albert. For your convenience a postdated cheque is acceptable.



Pre-Authorized Tax Payment Plan
The PAT plan allows for the payment of property taxes in 12 monthly installments from January to December. As a participant in the plan, your monthly payment is revised in June of each year.

Penalties
Please note a penalty of 3% will be applied on July 1, 6% on August 1, and 9% on October 1 for current year taxes. Penalties on arrears are 12% on January 1 and 6% on July 1.
