The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager of Transportation & Urban Development, the Storm/Land Compliance Coordinator provides customer service in relation to drainage and land encroachment inquiries. In dealing with these inquiries the Coordinator ensures that processes are in place to track, prioritize, investigate inquiries, and facilitate resolutions. The Coordinator is responsible for customer support, research and education initiatives, input into policy development, and administrative matters related to compliance for land development and issues that arise through non-compliance or structures that have been constructed on City Land.
The Person: The applicant will be a self-motivated individual who is able to function in a busy office environment and is able to set priorities and manage their time and demands effectively. The ability to handle multiple projects and work to short deadlines is essential. He/she will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and posses the ability to work independently or as part of a team. |
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have completed Post Secondary education in Civil, Municipal or a related technology engineering program. We are seeking applicants with CTech or CET certification. Membership in a professional organization such as ASET would be beneficial. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of municipal government experience. Candidates must also have strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and database programs, experience with POSSE will be an asset. A valid class 5 operator’s license is essential as occasional data collection of fieldwork may be required. |
Salary Range:

|
$60,229 – $73,275 per annum. The City of St. Albert also offers a comprehensive benefits package. |
