Sign Maintenance
City crews place a high priority on the quick replacement or repair of traffic regulating signs and signals. Public Works maintains a Signs shop so that these standards can be maintained on a year round basis.
Sign Replacement
In the past three years, Public Works has been working to update and replace existing traffic signs through out the City of St. Albert. Upgrading includes the installation of green and white signage to Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Canada Standards; the removal of old posts, as well as the straightening and mounting signage to existing infrastructure where possible.
Speed Awareness Signs
Residents who have concerns about speeding in their neighbourhoods can contact the City’s Planning & Engineering department at 780-459-1654 to obtain more information or to request speed awareness signage.
