Recreation Ice Rentals
Interested in booking some ice time? Regular season ice (September to March) is primarily scheduled for our local minor sport organizations, leaving ice available during the early mornings, weekdays and late evenings. Short term bookings are available for individuals. All bookings need to meet our insurance requirement, which can be acquired through the City of St. Albert's insurance program or through your own broker.
Looking for ice for the spring or summer? St. Albert does maintain ice over the spring and summer depending on community needs. If your group or organization would like ice in the off season, please submit your request to a facilities coordinator by November of the previous year.
Open Ice
To check availability of ice surfaces, an up to date schedule for each arena facility is viewable through our online calendar. Please note that space is not confirmed available until within our fourteen (14) day cancellation period, and future dates may need further confirmation through a Facility Coordinator. Arena use with ice is reduced for April to mid August. Troy Murray and Mark Messier have ice for the Spring & Summer. Troy Murray and Mark Messier are closed April 16-May 3, 2012. Performance arena has ice in until April 22, 2012. Akinsdale & Kinex have ice in until May 4, 2012.
To check availability:
1. Click here to go to the Take Time Online webpage. Go to the "Find a facility" tab and use the "Facility Availability Search" link.
2. Select (all) if you are looking for any availability, or select the particular facility you are interested in.
3. Select the facility type of "Arena".
4. Select your date, day, or time parameters. For a 1 hour open slot, please search for a length of 1 hour & 15 min to include the flood time.
Clicking on the date will allow you to see the exact times available for that facility, on that day.
