Intersection Speed Enforcement Technology
Slow Down in Intersections!
As of September 1, 2009, the City began using intersection speed technology to increase traffic safety in St. Albert. This technology employs existing intersection safety devices to monitor and enforce speed laws at intersections. These devices capture images that result in traffic violation tickets for both speeding and red light violations at intersections.
The City anticipates intersection speed technology will reduce the number and severity of accidents.
Stay safe by slowing down and travelling the posted speed limits or speeds safe for road conditions.
Intersection speed technology locations
- St. Albert Trail and McKenney Avenue/Bellerose Drive, and
- St. Albert Trail and Gervais Road/Hebert Road.
