Skating Arenas & Outdoor Rinks

The City of St. Albert has two arena complexes providing five sheets of ice:

• Akinsdale-Kinex Arena:  located at 66 Hebert Road
• Servus Place Performance Arena:  located at 400 Campbell Road
• Mark Messier and Troy Murray Arenas:  located at 400 Campbell Road
  

These arenas are utilized by the following non-profit organizations, who provide top quality programs to the community. All organizations are members of the Arena User Group:

• St. Albert Minor Hockey Association
• St. Albert Skating Centre
  
• St. Albert Ringette Association
• St. Albert Junior B Merchants
• St. Albert Rams Lacrosse
• Northern Alberta Major Lacrosse Association

Ice time is assigned in co-operation with the user group members and each individual organization schedules the ice for their programs. The regular ice season at all indoor arenas is generally September 1 to March 31. Spring & Summer ice is also available from April to August.  Requests are due November 1st of the previous season & are compiled meeting the needs of our local Minor Sport Partners, historical users & program needs.

 

During the spring and part of the summer months the arenas also host the surface users, Rams lacrosse, Major lacrosse, roller hockey & ball hockey.

The St. Albert Chamber of Commerce hosts a weekend Trade Show at Servus Credit Union Place in April each year.

The City of St. Albert Community and Protective Services provides the following programming opportunities (see quick links below for details): Public Skating, 50+ Shinny, Adult Shinny, Parents and Tot skates & Learn to Skate.

Concession services are provided at the Akinsdale Arena & at Servus Credit Union Place on the second level.
