The City of St. Albert will be retrofitting incandescent traffic light systems with LED panel systems saving the City approximately $60,000 each year in energy costs.  For more information, contact Engineering Services at 780-459-1654.

St. Albert Goes Solar

The City of St. Albert recently announced plans to be part of the Alberta Solar Municipal Showcase.  This renewable energy project collaboration provides municipalities an opportunity to showcase a grid-connected photovoltaic system on a public building.  This project is designed as a test to explore the ways participants educate and inform the public about this new technology.  The City plans to install a solar energy panel on the new fire hall in Northridge.  For more information, contact the Office of Environment at 780-459-1654.
