Dog Licensing

In St. Albert all dogs six months or older must be licensed. Licensing your dog is easy and important. A licence identifies you as your pet's owner. If he or she gets lost it will be easy to reunite you and your dog. A licence provides a little peace of mind should your dog go missing. Unless you are going to breed or show your dog, it is advisable to have it spayed or neutered.

St. Albert's Municipal Enforcement Service investigates and enforces violations of the Animal Bylaw and fees as outlined in Animal Bylaw 38/78.
