Dial-a-bus is
a cost-effective way to provide "as needed" transit service in St.
Albert when ridership is low.Dial-a-bus
is available upon request to travel to bus stop locations where riders wish to
board or be dropped off.Dial-a-bus
operates along existing bus routes and "collector" roadways.They provide local service and will always
connect to the commuter buses going into Edmonton.
For passengers
coming into St. Albert from Edmonton, buses will be at the Village
Transit Station waiting to take you to your destination.Board the appropriate bus and tell the driver
your intended destination.The driver
will take passengers along the most direct route.For your convenience and safety, you are
permitted to get off the bus at any location along Transit routes, so long as
it is safe for the driver to stop.The
bus will not travel on local residential crescents.
The three
Dial-a-buses will depart VTS at 7:10, 7:45, 8:45, 9:45 and 10:45 p.m.
For a pick up within St. Albert, call your
appropriate bus when you need to travel.The driver will advise you of the time he/she will pick you up at your
nearest bus stop.Please note that the
drivers will only have their phones turned on for a 10-minute window from 35 –
45 minutes after the hour.

Please follow the links below for Dial-a-bus call times specific to the day of the week that you wish to travel:
On weekday evenings at 11:45 p.m.
and 12:45 a.m., there is one A15 bus available at Village Transit Station
to take passengers to any destination in St. Albert (drop off only).
If you use A14 to travel along
its regular route, from Grandin Road, Downtown St. Albert, SACE or places
along St. Albert Road including the Hospital and Save On Foods North, you
do not need to phone the bus. Simply go out at the scheduled time (page
24).
If your trip involves local
service within St. Albert ONLY, the driver will try to accommodate your
request with the most direct route.
However, since there may be other passengers trying to connect with
commuter routes, it may be necessary to travel first to Village Transit
Station before you continue to your local destination
