- No sorting or tags are needed!
- There is no limit to the number of clear blue bags residents can put at the curbside.
- Blue bags can be purchased for any grocery or hardware store that sells garbage bags.
- Please remember to tie your blue bag at the top.

natural environment and ensuring its sustainability for future

What Can I Recycle?
If you are unsure whether a particular item is recyclable, please call Ever Green Ecological Services at 780-469-1977.
Corrugated Cardboard
flatten, fold and place beneath blue bags (maximum size is 3 feet by 3 feet)
Newsprint/Heavy Paper
newspaper, magazines, phone books, catalogues, flyers
Boxboard
cereal boxes, pasta boxes, shoe boxes, etc.
Mixed Paper
office paper, junk mail, shredded paper, paper bags, etc.
Deposit Items*:
milk cartons and jugs, pop and beer cans, wine, water, beer, juice bottles and juice tetra packs
Containers*
metal cans, clear glass jars and plastic containers #1-7 such as laundry bottles and food containers
The recycle symbol with the #1-7 is found on the bottom of the plastic container and looks like 
*Please ensure all containers and deposit items are rinsed and caps and lids are discarded.
Do Not Recycle
- Unrinsed food containers
- Plastic bags
- Styrofoam
- Bubble wrap/plastic film
- Aluminum containers/aluminum foil
- Plastic toys
- Household Hazardous Waste (such as batteries, paint, fertilizer and oils)
- Electronics (They can be taken to the Recycle Depot at 7 Chevigny Street.)
- Small appliances
- Diapers
- Ceramics
- Clothes
- Scrap metal, wood and other building materials
- Yard waste (It can be taken to the Compost Depot on Villeneuve Road.)
- Food waste
- Coloured glass
- Soiled paper (used tissue or paper towel, dirty pizza boxes)
