                                       APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL

On December 14th, City Council approved a budget that will take our community through the next year.  With a focus on maintaining programs and service levels for residents, and targeting funds for priority projects, the 2010 budget presents one of the lower tax increases in the Capital Region and the lowest tax increase the city has seen in nearly a decade.

While the country is slowly emerging from the recession, Council and Administration will continue to closely track economic conditions and effectively react to changes that may impact our residents and community as a whole.  The 2010 budget provides the right foundation to keep our city well maintained, as we work together on plans for the future.
