Drop in Life Drawing  18+ years

Drop-in sessions are non-instructional but monitored: the group works from a live (nude) model. Poses will vary in length from gestural poses to longer poses during each session. All mediums are encouraged - please bring your tool box and materials! Please Note: Due to Children’s Festival taking place the last week of May, there will be NO Drop In Drawing in May.

Secret Garden Acrylic Painting  18+  years

Luscious colours, beautiful blooms, Sharon Moore Foster will take all levels of painters through the creation of lively floral paintings! Delight in creating a richly coloured palette that will do justice to the most exotic blooms. Beginners welcomed as well as the more experienced painter. Pulse: Sculpting Life   18+ years

St. Albert metal, paint and clay artist Sharon Moore Foster leads this adventure into sculpting the human figure. Sharon’s zest for life translates into skill developing techniques in the studio. Experience working with clay or sculpture not essential. Amazing works have come from the hands of students who’ve never touched clay before! The class begins with gestural small studies and moves to a finished figure approx. size 8" x 15". Come with your tool kit or use what’s on hand. Clay and firing included. Unfortunately, additional studio time is not available. Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Doris Charest is an established St. Albert artist who brings her years of experience and expertise to share. Experiment with decoupage materials, mono-printing and simple photo-transfer techniques for abstract and semi?abstract paintings. ALL supplies provided. No experience necessary, come for the fun.

Here's just what you need to brighten up a window and get you started on your way to a new skill! Choose from a variety of suncatcher designs and learn the basic copper foil technique of this traditional art. All supplies and designs included. No experience necessary.

Flamework Beads for Beginners  18+ years

Be careful - it's addictive! Learn how to make a variety of basic bead shapes in this beginner flameworking class. This workshop will teach you good beading habits and the skills to continue to explore this popular and fun art form. All supplies included for up to 7 bead techniques.

Please note: you will be wearing safety glasses. If prescription lenses are necessary, wear contacts if possible. Clothing - always wear natural fiber clothing (a long denim shirt works great), wear long pants and shoes that cover your whole foot. Avoid wearing shorts, skirts, and open toed shoes when working with glass. For an extra layer of protection you could wear a leather welder's apron, just be sure of a proper fit so it doesn't impede your movement.

Flamework Beads II for NOT SO Beginners  18+ years

If you’ve taken the first level class, here’s your chance to venture into the decorative application process. Explore using a press, making twisties, frit and mica application, basic encasing and basic colour reactions. Then wrap up the day with some troubleshooting. Continue good beading habits and the skills development. All supplies included to experience each technique.
