St. Albert Transit has a 100% fully-accessible fleet. We have 55 accessible buses operating on our regular transit routes within St. Albert and to / from Edmonton.
All accessible buses are Low Floor buses which have no stairs. These vehicles are also able to “kneel,” which reduces the
height of the first step onto the bus from the curb. The front doorway is
equipped with a retractable ramp, which improves access for riders with
wheelchairs and patrons who have mobility restrictions. Each bus also has two
areas for wheelchairs and scooters to be secured during travel.
