City is Seeking Input into AHF Agreement
|The public is invited to provide input into the Arts and Heritage Foundation (AHF) agreement that the City of St. Albert is drafting through an online survey, via email or by attending an open house. |
The online survey can be accessed from https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/AHFAgreement, and the link is also posted to the City’s website (www.stalbert.ca). People wishing to provide comments can also send an email to email@example.com. These input options are available until September 23, 2012.
The public is also invited to an open house on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Albert Place, 5 St. Anne Street in the East Boardroom on the 3rd Floor.
On August 27, 2012, City Council directed Administration to renew the existing agreement with appropriate revisions for an additional five years after considering input from various stakeholders. The City is seeking input from the public and stakeholders, including Council Members, AHF, and City staff, until September 23, 2012. City Manager Patrick Draper will update City Council on October 22, 2012 on the status of the draft agreement. The existing agreement expires on December 31, 2012.
For the past 11 years, the City has contracted out the management and operation of the Musée Héritage Museum, heritage sites and Art Gallery, as well as associated programming, to the AHF through a stewardship agreement. The agreement sets the terms and roles of AHF to manage and ensure the proper stewardship of historic and cultural artefacts, historical resources, archives and some visual arts owned by the City.
